Anyone here seen "Family Guy" and familiar with Quagmire? If so, this will be funny. If not, she's still pretty cute!

Kami-ites
On the left-hand side of this blog, I've added a "followers" gadget. It lets me know who's keeping tabs on our girl. It's a fun thing for me, so if you feel like it, add yourself on there!

Well, I think we have successfully weaned Kami off her "ba-ba." She hasn't asked it since last week and it's been a whole 10 days since we went cold turkey two Saturdays ago. Hooray! She won't be three with a pacifier!
Kami's new favorite words are "no" and "mine." "No" has been a favorite for a while and she answers any question with a "no," but "mine" has just started. I'm thinking she gets it from daycare and defending her and her toys. I'm hoping this phase won't last too long because she's convinced that everything around her is hers. Awesome.
Kami also got to see her cousin Keenan for a while this past week. She always has a ton of fun with him and they love to run around with each other. I didn't have my camera, but they squealed and screamed while running outside and jumping in piles of leaves. It was pretty cute.

Editor's Note

This past weekend, we bid adieu to Kami's beloved "ba-ba," aka her pacifier. We went cold turkey and she hasn't used her "ba-ba" since dad was a weenie and gave it to her Saturday night for bedtime. She's asked for it during nap times, bed times, and when she's grumpy, but we have survived and even went to the doctor office without using on! True, the doctor visit was for mom, but still, it is an accomplishment. To quote Obama, "Yes we can!"

Happy Halloween to everyone! Kami still wasn't sure what to think of this Halloween stuff and we didn't go trick or treating, but we did answer my parents' door a million times and give out candy. She was thrilled to find out that she could reach the candy bowl, so every time we went to answer the door, she would open the door, act shy, and then grab a piece of candy and take it to the nearest sucker for her "cocoa pease!" which is usually my dad.
Kami is also starting to “speak” in sentences, like “bed in there,” “up pease,” and “where bear at.” We’re starting to understand more of her words and can communicate with her pretty well. We’re getting closer to her second birthday too! How exciting!
