13.5 Months Old

Well, Kami finally got her first ear infection this month. She had been playing with her right ear for a while and had been a bit cranky, but we didn't think much of it because when she's cutting teeth (which she's also doing-two more on the bottom, which makes eight total), she's grumpy. We ended up taking her to the doctor and she had a double ear infection and her doctor was surprised that she wasn't acting worse than she was. What a sweet, sick little girl we have. She just finished her antibiotics and seems to be doing better, thanks for asking. She is starting to talk constantly (I have no idea what she's saying-it's probably Shakespeare or something) and walk around like she owns the place, both of which are really cute.

Yay! More snow! It snowed for about two weeks straight up here and we had a pile of snow that was about five feet high in our yard. It was ridiculous!

Kami was very happy to have her grandparents back (they were in Arizona for a while) and wanted to read with Grandma.

Check out that hair! It's starting to get curly at the ends and is pretty cute.

I think Kami might have gotten into a drawer that she wasn't supposed to.

Can you believe it!

We're so close to a ponytail...

Kami loves drinking out a straw from IHop (they had free pancakes this past week-you'd have to be crazy to miss that!)

Something's funny (thanks for the outfit Hufs-she misses you!).

Kami's new thing is putting her shoes on.

Kami is starting to figure out her Dora car and driving it around the living room.

Who is that hooded figure walking down the hallway?

It's Miss Kamilah who MIGHT need a haircut.

Kami has a lot of fun crawling in and out of her pack n' play.

Banana montage!

This kid loves food!

I don't know if she'll ever stop eating.

Her stomach is a black hole for food!

Haha! Running around without clothes is funny!

I couldn't quite get her pj top over her head, so it sort of got stuck.

Kami and mom hung out on the couch and ate breakfast together.

Kami also likes to share dad's lunch. I'm glad at least one of them are wearing pants.

Kami loves chicken nuggets.

No really, she loves them! Like I said, she's a black hole for food.

13 Months Old

This month, Kami has been a walking machine. She has even overcome baby prison by crawling over an ottoman that was blocking one of the emergency exits. Also, Kami got a second Christmas/Birthday with her Grandma and Grandpa Price and her Aunt Ginger, Uncle Jerrod, and cousin Keenan. Kami's been a little short on friends her age around here, so it was nice for her to have a playmate. They enjoyed some chocolate cupcakes and some more presents (she definitely needed some more of both...).

Kami has discovered the joy of licking the glass doors. We're having to clean them much more often than before.

Kami got a new water bottle from REI this weekend.

She was quite pleased with her purchase.

She's such a cute dork.

Kami absolutely loves her panda!

Kami is now on all table food and loves anything we are eating.

Kami and dad are playing peek around her stroller.

Here's Kami's Bubba Gump face. I'm concerned that we'll be paying for that underbite later on in life.

Awww...Keenan is trying to comfort Kami after she got a huge bruise from hitting her head on the coffee table.

Hey, we both have teeth!

It started out so nice and clean...

Yeah, not so nice and clean.

Please sir, can we have some more?

Kami's quite the accomplished soloist...

and she even makes room for duets.

Nice Flock of Seagulls hair.

She likes to cuddle with her seal in the car.

Kami and Keenan decided to trade Christmas presents (tea set and cars). It was fabulous!

We've decided that this is the style of pigtails that are most conducive to Kami's face shape. The antennae piggies accentuated her chubby cheeks too much. This is more slimming.

Kami and Keenan had fun being pirate ship captains.

Keenan was nice enough to share stickers with his favorite cousin.

Looks like we caught them doing something...

Kami loves to take off all her magnets and throw them on the floor. It's really fun for mom when she cleans the floor!

First, you put the baby in the stroller...

then you can take her for a walk.

Kami loves to perform for the camera and play peek.

Kami has successfully found her belly button.

12 1/2 Months

Now that Kami is an official 1-year old, I'll be doing bi-monthly posts. I know I'm a little late with this one, but both Garrett and I are in school now and I'm back at work after a nice week off for Christmas/birthday, so things are a little hectic.

Kami had her one-year checkup. Things were good. She's in the 50th percentile for weight and around the same for height (I can't remember the exact measurements). She also had to get two shots and was not happy about them. Her doctor was impressed with her development and her eyes still being blue. She now has six teeth (four on top and two on the bottom) and I'm convinced she's cutting some molars (she keeps sticking her fingers all the way to the back of her mouth, so she's either cutting teeth in the back or trying to lose some weight). She has taken quite a liking to walking and can walk all the way across the living room when she wants to (sometimes she won't walk unless we hold onto her hand). Overall, she's so much fun and has quite a sweet, goofy personality.

One more thing-the Prices really will be sending out a "holiday" letter (President's Day is a holiday worthy of having its own letter, right?). If you would like to get one along with the official 2007 Price Family Photo (collector's edition-it'll be worth something someday), please let me know and send me your address (via e-mail-tessa.price@gmail.com-or post a comment on here). Speaking of comments, I can't help but notice that they are few and far between. What's up with that? That's all I'll say about that...and now for the pictures...

Isn't she cute? Yes is the answer you're looking for.

Garrett tried swaddling her like she used to, but it didn't really work and she got mad.

Here's Kami's "Franken-baby" walk. We'll try to post a video of her. It's pretty cute.

Kami was rocking out on her drumset.

She tried a PB&J for the first time.

She thought it was pretty good.

She also proceeded to make a mess.

Kami loves slamming on her laptop keys.

She's done now.

Peek-a-boo!

She's trying to decide what to do with the broccoli.

How about shove it in my mouth? And the t-shirt? Yeah, I rock.

This is why dad doesn't get to dress Kami very often.

Here's what Kami's fit looks like. Luckily, it only lasts a few seconds and it's sort of funny to watch.

This is the way we go to school, early in the morning.

Kami loves her Noah's Ark set from Grandma and Grandpa Dokken.

Kami was channel surfing to see if there was anything good on.

She tried cow's milk for the first time after her doctor visit. She seemed to like it and her diaper wasn't too bad the next morning. As Martha Stewart would say, "That's a good thing."

Kami was catching up on the latest news stories on our way to church.

This was my first attempt at a ponytail. It might get better on my next try.

Kami took Uncle Chad on a tour of his dining room.

Aunt Tara was next.

The birthday present from Uncle Nick and Aunt Patso. She's starting to figure out how to walk behind it, not next to it.

She's just checking the specs on the rotors...

Her hair is getting pretty long. We're trying to decide if we're going to cut it or not. Any votes-yay or nay?

Kami helped mom celebrate her 27th birthday.

Kami was gift enough! It would have been nicer if she had a Target gift card in her pocket...

Ooohhh-my cell phone!

Ooohhh-a button!

Mom was nice enough to share her cucumbers with me!

It was a lot of fun playing with them in my mouth.

Hahahaha! Cucumbers are hilarious!

She's low ridin' like a gangsta.

I love bread! And pigtails!

The Little People bus stopped at the Little People farm.

I think Kami's figured out what and who Shepherd is.

The door on our entertainment center has become Kami's favorite teething tool. You can see how tall she's getting-you can see most of her face over the door now!
