12 1/2 Months

Now that Kami is an official 1-year old, I'll be doing bi-monthly posts. I know I'm a little late with this one, but both Garrett and I are in school now and I'm back at work after a nice week off for Christmas/birthday, so things are a little hectic.

Kami had her one-year checkup. Things were good. She's in the 50th percentile for weight and around the same for height (I can't remember the exact measurements). She also had to get two shots and was not happy about them. Her doctor was impressed with her development and her eyes still being blue. She now has six teeth (four on top and two on the bottom) and I'm convinced she's cutting some molars (she keeps sticking her fingers all the way to the back of her mouth, so she's either cutting teeth in the back or trying to lose some weight). She has taken quite a liking to walking and can walk all the way across the living room when she wants to (sometimes she won't walk unless we hold onto her hand). Overall, she's so much fun and has quite a sweet, goofy personality.

One more thing-the Prices really will be sending out a "holiday" letter (President's Day is a holiday worthy of having its own letter, right?). If you would like to get one along with the official 2007 Price Family Photo (collector's edition-it'll be worth something someday), please let me know and send me your address (via e-mail-tessa.price@gmail.com-or post a comment on here). Speaking of comments, I can't help but notice that they are few and far between. What's up with that? That's all I'll say about that...and now for the pictures...

Isn't she cute? Yes is the answer you're looking for.

Garrett tried swaddling her like she used to, but it didn't really work and she got mad.

Here's Kami's "Franken-baby" walk. We'll try to post a video of her. It's pretty cute.

Kami was rocking out on her drumset.

She tried a PB&J for the first time.

She thought it was pretty good.

She also proceeded to make a mess.

Kami loves slamming on her laptop keys.

She's done now.

Peek-a-boo!

She's trying to decide what to do with the broccoli.

How about shove it in my mouth? And the t-shirt? Yeah, I rock.

This is why dad doesn't get to dress Kami very often.

Here's what Kami's fit looks like. Luckily, it only lasts a few seconds and it's sort of funny to watch.

This is the way we go to school, early in the morning.

Kami loves her Noah's Ark set from Grandma and Grandpa Dokken.

Kami was channel surfing to see if there was anything good on.

She tried cow's milk for the first time after her doctor visit. She seemed to like it and her diaper wasn't too bad the next morning. As Martha Stewart would say, "That's a good thing."

Kami was catching up on the latest news stories on our way to church.

This was my first attempt at a ponytail. It might get better on my next try.

Kami took Uncle Chad on a tour of his dining room.

Aunt Tara was next.

The birthday present from Uncle Nick and Aunt Patso. She's starting to figure out how to walk behind it, not next to it.

She's just checking the specs on the rotors...

Her hair is getting pretty long. We're trying to decide if we're going to cut it or not. Any votes-yay or nay?

Kami helped mom celebrate her 27th birthday.

Kami was gift enough! It would have been nicer if she had a Target gift card in her pocket...

Ooohhh-my cell phone!

Ooohhh-a button!

Mom was nice enough to share her cucumbers with me!

It was a lot of fun playing with them in my mouth.

Hahahaha! Cucumbers are hilarious!

She's low ridin' like a gangsta.

I love bread! And pigtails!

The Little People bus stopped at the Little People farm.

I think Kami's figured out what and who Shepherd is.

The door on our entertainment center has become Kami's favorite teething tool. You can see how tall she's getting-you can see most of her face over the door now!

52 Weeks Old! AAAHHH!

Welcome to the longest post on Kami's blog!

Well, Kami has had her first Christmas and her first birthday all in one week and what a week it was. I took some time off and the Price family enjoyed each other for the holidays. We spent the night at my parents' house for Christmas Eve after clam chowder and a midnight mass with Garrett's parents. We then had breakfast with my parents and brother/sister-in-law and cousin/cousin-in-law and later had dinner with Garrett's family. Our Christmas Extravaganza continued the next day with our family Christmas and then we went to Garrett's extended family's Christmas. All throughout this Christmas experience, Kami got more toys then she ever needed or wanted.

Kami's first birthday was a lot of fun for all involved (I hope). We had about 30 people over to our house (I was not expecting all that were invited to come, but they did) for dinner, cake, and presents. She was quite a trooper and it was so much fun to have so many people over to experience our little girl and all our fun!

Enjoy all the pictures!

Here are some pictures from the Price Family Christmas, which is actually the day after the "real" Christmas:

I think she might have dropped something down the silo of her new "Little People" barn.

Maybe Kami will become a drummer someday.

Yummy BigMac.

She just learned how to drink out of a new sippy cup with a straw and has discovered juice. She is seldom seen without her cup and all her diapers weigh about ten pounds.

So many presents! Santa was good to us this year.

Kami really did enjoy her keys, although you can't really tell from this picture.

Kami had so much fun with her new giant panda!

It's so funny to watch her tackle it and roll around with it.

Kami was a pretty sleepy girl after opening up her presents.

Here's Garrett's family's Christmas:

Kami thought Uncle Cody would appreciate the product placement.

Kami's modeling her new coat from Uncle Trevorr.

Here's our baby with her new baby and stroller. It's actually pretty cute to see her pushing the stroller around and putting her baby in there.

And now the Dokken's Christmas:

Playing peek-a-boo with her Christmas dress.

Kami did pretty well opening gifts on her own. We had to start tearing the paper for her and she took it from there.

Kami was our Christmas present all wrapped up.

More at the Price's:

What a sweet, proper girl.

Yeah right.

And now the birthday montage:

Gotta try out the birthday cake...

I think I like it...

I like it so much I'll sit in it!

Awesome!

Grandma Dokken was nice enough to make her favorite granddaughter a panda cake!

How many adults does it take to put together a baby toy?

Maybe Kami can help!

Ahhh! Great success!

Maybe Grandma Dokken needs some help too!

Here's her new Noah's Ark "Little People" set from the Dokken Grandparents. She loves taking everything out of the ark and putting the animals in by twosies twosies.

Kami got a few new puzzles too.

Kami doesn't look too thrilled here. She was starting to get tired after a long extravaganza week.

I think Kami might have had more fun with the trash than the actual toys that used to be in those boxes.

Now some miscellaneous pictures:

Since Kami made a mess, we made her help clean up. What a good helper!

Kami was helping Dad pick out shelves at Home Depot.

Kami and her panda needed a nap.

She loves her new phone, yet she still wants ours. Oh well.

Kami thought it was funny to peek through her drum. It was.
