29 1/2 Months

Sorry I'm late with the blog post, but I do have a good excuse-we were in Hawaii for 2 weeks with my family, so all the pictures are from there. We all had a blast and Kami loved her "Hawaii home" and getting to see her grandparents and "her Nick" and "her Patsy" (my brother and sister-in-law who are expecting a boy in October!) every day. We got to snorkel, go to a luau, enjoy the beach, and do lots of swimming. Mainly, it was a nice escape from routine and work and a great time was had by all. Enjoy the pictures!

Pictures from Waimea (park with a waterfall):

The waterfall.

Kami and Grandpa.

Kami and Dada.

And with Grandma.

Dada and Kami going "simmin!"
The USS Arizona Memorial.
It's a freakin' turtle!
Me snorkeling. I was quite buoyant and could barely keep my butt underwater.

Garrett snorkeling and apparently hanging loose.

Grandpa and Kami at the Punchbowl Cemetery where my mom's brother is buried.

I feel like there should be a Corona logo on this photo somewhere.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shots from the Polynesian Cultural Center where we all got to go to a luau and see some parades.

Aunt Patsy and Uncle Nick.
Grandma and Grandpa.

Kami was doing this really sweet thing where she would start to clap, then put her hands together and put them on the side of her face. Say it with me now..."Awww!"

Group photo of my family in their luau garb.
The Price family.

Kami in her sweet dress that Grandma Price brought back from Hawaii a month earlier that we broke out for the luau.
The guys before dinner.

The prettiest changing table ever.
This is the closest thing people will get to seeing me pregnant and in a bathing suit. Here's 6 1/2 months and I'm not sure I can really get any bigger. I think this girl is going to pop out the front of my stomach!

Garrett and I all dolled up for our dinner cruise. We went with Nick and Patricia and Patricia got a little motion sick, so I have a feeling we enjoyed it more than they did, but we got some nice ocean views of Waikiki and Honolulu.

Kami and her "sungasses."

A very tired Kami. When we ask her "Kami, are you a sleepy girl?" she responds with a very emphatic "I not a seepy girl Mama!" I'm so sure...

"Sook at me Mama! My gasses! I see you!"

Garrett's tongue is a bit KISS-ish, but Kami's face is pretty cute!

Here's Kami with her Nick, her Grandma, and her story books.

This picture reminds me of Kami's Uncle Nick because he used to love sitting naked underneath the laundry basket. By used to, I mean yesterday.

Very tired girl after going to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
"Sook Mama! My fingers are dirty!"
Sweet fake sad face.

Kami and Dada reading some story books.

She was fascinated with how the washing machine went "round and round and round!"
Kami and her "cocodile." I guess the "r" is silent.

She looks like quite the diva lounging on the lanai. She's really not, but she plays one on TV.

Kami and Dada showing off her hermit crab that she mistook for a shell. The two of them were off to return him to his "oh-sin home."
Garrett took this shot just for Chad.
Family shot at the Byodo-In Temple.
"I do it!" This has become her new favorite phrase. Feeding fish at the temple.
Ringing the bell with Dada.
Sweet girl.

29 Months

These two weeks have been filled with hot weather and hectic schedules. Dada worked lots of nights and weekends and Mama worked lots of weekdays, so we were sort of like ships in the night. Kami got a new swimming pool that we've been setting up at our house, friends' houses, and grandparents' houses and she's been having a lot of fun with that. We also got to go to the zoo (of course we decided to go when everyone else decided to go too) and Kami was so excited to see some lions and giraffes and lots of birds. She even asked the next day if we could go see the animals.
A few cute quotes from our cute girl:
"Mama, I not-a go night-night yet. Not yet Mama. Not yet." Not sure where the "not-a" comes from, but it's funny.
"Q R S, T U V, double-X, Y and Z. Now I know my ABCs, next time, next time, sing with me" and repeat are how her ABCs sound.
When she said "I all done" and we told her "No, five more bites," she looked at us, then held up four fingers and said "No, four more!" She's already negotiating with us at 2 years old.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Kami's "happy face." More like self-satisfied face.

"Sad face." She's so cute!

Kami's M&M cookie ended up on her forehead somehow.

Kami getting packed for Hawaii.
Kami loves to sit and watch cartoons like this.

This is how her first ensemble started...

and then she switched the hat for her Batman mask (which she sometimes gets confused with Superman...Dada is quick to correct her).

-------------------------------------------------------------

We got to go to the Boise Zoo for the first time. It was a nice, sunny day and we all had lots of fun!

Dada and Kami checking out the lions.

Driving in a Jeep on a safari.
Riding a tiger and drinking some juice.

Mama and Kami on the carousel.

She had fun with the penguins.

Sweet girl.

Seems like just yesterday...

Kami's new "sad face." She can break it out when prompted and it's pretty funny.
Having fun at the park.

Kami cried for her "neck-ace" so we gave in and took it to her.
Kami rolls with one pant leg up.

A whole new spin on "corn pop."

Poolside dining.
Haha!

She was very excited that she got the toy to work.

Splash!
Cool Kami!
