28 1/2 Months

The first few weeks of May have been somewhat uneventful. I finally decided to trim Kami's hair a bit. I only took about an inch off the back to even it all out. She sat pretty still while eating a sucker and watching Mickey. Kami also got to help Grandpa Dokken with some yard work and raked up some pine needles. She's certainly a good helper!
Kami now knows that when someone says "I love you," the polite thing is to say "I love you too." Kami's version of it is "I lub oo too!" which is the sweetest thing you'll ever hear your kid say. She also seems to think that she wants a baby sister, so she just might get what she wants, like usual.
Also, congrats to Dada, who graduated from CPE with 2 units of CPE training behind him. He's halfway there and we're proud of all his hard work!!! We lub him!
Careful...
The results...only about 1"-1 1/2" off the back to make all her hair the same length. It hasn't made too much of a difference with her tangles, but it looks a bit neater when it's combed.

Kami putting on some gardening gloves.

Trying to find some weeds.

Kami hanging out with Shep (note-our dog ran away during a thunderstorm one night and we're still waiting to see if we can find him).

Walking on the balance beam.
Whoa!
Kami loves dirt.
She knows she's not supposed to touch Grandma and Grandpa's tomato plants, so she just watches them with her hands behind her back.

Where's Kami?

Kami and Dada checking out Krispy Kreme donuts.

Yummy...

Kami and Grandpa getting a trash bag for the pine needles.

What a good helper!

Kami and Grandpa raking.

She was so proud of herself.

I can remember when she wasn't big enough to reach the trash can...kind of sad...but in a good way...I guess...

Yay!

We tried to show Kami how we used to swaddle her when she was a baby. She wasn't a huge fan of it after a while.

Kami "seepin" on the couch.
Dad and Kami with their rock fists.

Mmm...cocoa milk...

Kami showing off her new butterfly shoes. It sort of sounds like "buh-urr-fy" when she says it.
Clown nose just like Grandma's!

Licking her plate clean.

"Helping" dada out.

Yeah-helping...
Kami catching a ride.
Her new gardening tools that we later replaced with plastic ones. It's safer for everyone involved.

Checking out our haul.

28 Months

We've had a typical Idaho spring with warm weather one day and rainy the next day. We were pretty lucky at the end of April to have some nice, sunny days, so the family went to a park down the street from us. Kami enjoyed the swings, the slide, and running around all over the place. We've also been treating ourselves to some ice cream cones and Kami's been very happy to get some "ice keem."
Kami's continues to be a very sweet girl and tells us "I lub oo" when we tell her that we love her. She has also told us a few times "I so happy" when she's in a good mood, like when Mama brought her a balloon or when she got to pick out some candy. She's a sweet girl with a great sense of humor and we love her more and more every day.
Such a sweet girl.

Kami having fun in the park.

Old blue eyes.

Mama's hoping this underbite isn't permanent.

Kami's concentration face that looks a lot like Grandpa Dokken's concentration face. It must run in the family.
The first try at monkey bars.

Kami and Dada both got pretty adventurous after a few runs on the monkey bars.

This slide proved to be too much for Kami.

"Mama, I see my fashight! See?"

"Mama, the light is on my foot!"

Kami was on a quest to find something in her toybox.

*One afternoon after going to the park, Kami still wanted to play outside. I let her go in the backyard, but told her to stay on the cement so she wouldn't get wet since our sprinklers had just been on in our lawn. This is what I found just two minutes after I had let her out back.

"Mama, I not go on grass!" True, she didn't go on the grass...she's too smart.

"Mama, I spashin' in the puddle!"

Action shot! She spent about ten minutes in this tiny puddle and had a ton of fun.

"Mama, I take a pitcher of my foot, see? Say cheese foot!"

Kami's "Colonel Sanders" look. Classy.

"Mama, I take a pitcher with my cama! Say cheese!"

Yeah, this seems like a good idea...
"Mama, I go nigh-nigh. I seepy!"

It looks like she's up to something. Should I be concerned?
