37 Months/4 1/2 Months

The last portion of January has been uneventful. A big thing around here is that Kami has finally stopped pooping her pants! She's potty trained except for nap/night times and the heavens have opened up! She takes herself to the bathroom and announces to the house that she has, indeed, pooped in the potty. We're thrilled to not have to buy Pull-Ups at Costco anymore and Kami's so excited to be such a big girl! Next step, moving her into a big girl bed soon!

Brooklyn is starting to laugh and smile so much more and is rolling over both ways (from tummy to back and from back to tummy). We don't get to see it very often-we usually put her down for tummy time and come back to find her on her back or vice versa. One of these days we'll catch her in the act!

Cute story: the Avett Brothers have a song called "I And Love And You" that sings "Brooklyn, Brooklyn, take me in" during the chorus. Garrett was listening to the song and Kami happened to hear it and stopped and said "Dada, this is a very special song. It baby sister's song" and she often requests the "Brook-in brook-in song" while we're driving in the car. They're a fantastic group, so if you're looking for someone new to listen to, look em up!

"Sook Mama! I jumping like a fog (frog)!"

Kami hanging out in Dada's robe with her shoes on the wrong feet.

Mmm...fist so good!

Kami likes to take pictures of "baby sister," but I'm pretty sure if she keeps doing it, Brooklyn will be blind from the camera flash.

Big smiles!

Brooklyn and the giraffe sizing each other up.

Kami watched as we swaddled Brooklyn up before bed and she wanted to be swaddled like a baby.

Pretty sure we'll be signing someone up for dance classes soon.

So, I left the two girls in the living room while I took a shower and when I got out, Kami had managed to fit into Brooklyn's 3-6 month vest. Not sure what to say about the pose though...

Went to Costco to pick up some bagels, cheese, and a 3-year old. She slept through the whole shopping trip! I always see parents with kids sleeping in shopping carts and think "Kami would never do that," but she proved me wrong!

I think Kami thinks it's funny to strangle Dada.

Kami always thinks she's hilarious.

Bishop to nerd one.

She looks way too old way too fast.

I think she's trying to watch TV around me.

Brooklyn seriously looks like that horrible movie "Honey, I Blew Up the Baby", only much cuter and not the size of the house. I can't believe how grown up she looks on the couch! It's frightening! Keep sharing and updating! :)

I am continually amazed by your talent at converting Kami's kid-speak to the written word. That is quite the talent. Cute cute cute! Off I go to listen to the Avett Bros online and check them out.

The Kami swaddling picture is disturbing.
