Sorry again for the late blog post. May has been another busy month with teething and tantrums. Kami is officially in her princess phase and is constantly wanting to be a princess, which means wearing a dress with tights and her black bow shoes. Apparently princesses don't wear pants. I wonder if I can talk to Disney about making their next princess wear pants...
Brooklyn is working on crawling. She does her "seal" move where she pushes up with her arms, then pushes forward with her legs, then flops down. When she gets going too quickly, she face plants onto the ground. I'm not used to putting her down, leaving for a moment, then coming back and her not being there anymore. We'll have to re-institute "baby prison" again. She's got four teeth now (the two front teeth on both the top and bottom) and it's easy to tell when she's teething. Not only are her naps and feeding off, but she gets really sensitive. Any time a toy or a big sister makes a loud noise, she cries. Poor girl.
Garrett continues to plug away at school and will be a "master" in July. He has mentioned calling him "master of the universe," but I'm not sure that's going to work out for him, dork. I'm still at work since I haven't won the lottery still. The girls still go to Denice's house, but it's only twice a week. They go to Wendy's house (a lady that goes to church with us and Kami loves her) once and then Garrett's parents' house Tuesday-Wednesday with a sleepover every week. It gives Garrett and me a chance to have a date night or just a quiet night once a week and Kami and Brooklyn love getting to see their grandparents. We still all go over to my dad's once a week for dinner, and we love getting to see my family and getting the three grandkids together.

So close to crawling! She's so effective at her "seal" maneuver, that she might not even bother with "real" crawling.
She's a smart kid! She figured out a cup already. It probably helps that big sister had chewed these straws up pretty well so Brooklyn doesn't have to bite the straw in order to get anything out of the cup, but I still think she's smart.
Kami falls asleep in the weirdest places, like on a bike ride while wearing headphones and watching a show in the bike stroller,
Kami watching a show on my "phone," which is actually Garrett's old iPod that I've taken over now that he's got a fancy iPhone.

I'm teething, too. I'm officially "wise", if that's what happens when the wisdom teeth are forcing their way through your gums. So Brooklyn and I can relate on a whole new level now!
